Hólmfríður Vernharðsdóttir

The picture of Holmfrida (Vernhardsdottir) Helgason was formerly in the possession of Gus and Gertrude (Helgason) Baxter and Christina Helgason. (Gertrude and Christina are daughters of Teitur and Holmfrida)
The photo was taken in Marinette, Wisconsin at Wade & Co. The back is labeled: \"60 ari\" (accent mark over the a) \"1899\". A photo which seems to compliment this picture is of a bearded male and may be Holmfrida\'s husband Teiter Helgason or it may be another Helgason family relative. Both pictures were taken at Wade & Co. in Marinette, Wis. and both have tape markings on the corners on the back of the photos indicating that at some time they were displayed similarly.
This is a cabinet card with dark grey backing. The edges are beveled with no gilding or scallops. The size is 6 ½ x 4 ¼.
